The tog rating of a duvet helps you understand how much warmth the duvet will provide. The higher the tog rating, the warmer the duvet. So, you might want a lower tog duvet for the summer around 4.5, a medium 9 tog for spring and autumn and 13.5 tog for the winter.
|Spring/Autumn||9 tog||Cosy in heated environment|
|Winter||13.5 tog||Very warm|
|All season||4.5 tog + 9 tog||Choose your warmth|
An all seasons duvet consists of two duvets. The scooms all season duvet combines our Summer 4.5 tog duvet with our Autumn 9 tog duvet and comes with easy to use snap fasteners so that you can fit both duvets together when the weather gets colder.
Make sure you don't overheat your bedroom during the winter. Your body temperature needs to decrease slightly before you can fall asleep. A comfortable 18°C is the ideal temperature for your bedroom at night.
Children, particularly under the age of ten, can overheat quite easily at night so we advise using a lightweight 4.5 tog Summer duvet throughout the year. Add a light blanket if they feel cold during the winter months.
