Don't forget to read the small print! - These product guarantees cover manufacturing defaults only NOT damage from general wear and tear, misuse or accidents. The guarantee is only valid if you have followed the care label instructions.

    BEDDING STANDARDS

    Make sure your bedding comes with the top industry standards. 

    Designed in the UK and made with care in Hungary, our down duvets, down pillows  and feather & down mattress toppers meet these rigorous standards:

    • Nomite - an anti-allergen standard certifying that the scooms duvet and pillow are suitable for house dust mite allergy sufferers. 
    • Oeko-Tex 100 - verifying that the scooms duvet and pillow have been tested against harmful toxins and chemicals. 
    • Responsible Down Standard - an independent, voluntary global standard ensuring that the down and feathers come from geese that have been treated well; following the chain of custody from farm to product.
    • Downafresh - feather and down hygiene and cleanliness requirements to European standard EN 12935. 
    • Guaranteed Hungarian down and feather - single country source; by-product of the food industry.

    Our bed linen and towel ranges are all designed in the UK.  Our Egyptian cotton bed linen and Cotton mattress protectors are made with care in India, and our Egyptian cotton towel range in Turkey. Our Linen bedding is made by a renowned family-owned textile maker in Portugal. All three ranges are Oeko-Tex 100 certified: 

     

    PLANET-FRIENDLY PACKAGING

    Our orders are shipped in fully recyclable packing boxes, including the packing tape.

    Forest Stewardship Council certified shipping boxes: Verifying that the forest-based materials used during production have met the FSC chain of custody requirements at every step in the supply chain, from sourcing to distribution. Our newer boxes come with the FSC logo and certification number.

    DUVET SIZES

    These are standard UK bedding measurements so if you know your mattress size, you can easily work out which duvet size you need. (Width x length.)

    US/CANADA BEDDING SIZES: Approximate matches to UK sizes are US King/UK Super king, US Queen/UK King,  US Full/UK Double and US Twin/UK Single.

    EUROPEAN BEDDING SIZES: Each size - Single, Double, King and Grand king - is a little larger than the UK equivalent.

    DUVET TOG RATINGS

    Young children can overheat so if they are old enough to use a full size bed, we recommend using a single size 4.5 tog duvet.
