Your pillow will seem full, firm and puffy at first as the down will be at its fluffiest. After a few night’s sleep, it will become softer, contouring to your head and shoulders whilst providing the support your head and neck need for the whole night.
The pillow is medium to firm exactly as promised, it's also very comfortable. This is great because we've been looking for one with a bit of substance for ages and have now struck lucky.
I was worried about about paying so much for a pillow. After reading reviews,I decided to take the plunge, and I am glad to say it was the best decision I have ever made. I have slept wonderfully for a week now and will never go back to other pillows. As long as Scooms keep on making these wonderful pillows i will carry on buying them. I ordered the medium to firm as I’m a side sleeper.
love this pillow, Im a side sleeper and now wake up without neck ache
The search is over! Finally found the perfect pillow. After reading reviews & having tried many different pillows, Scooms filled me with hope. I ordered the medium/firm as I am a side sleeper. I don’t like firm pillows so was hoping it wasn’t too firm. I needn’t have worried. It is perfect. I get a really lovely night’s sleep with this pillow. It plumps up lovely after sleep. No odours or sharp feathers poking through. It arrived quickly and was packaged well in its own pillow bag. My cats won’t let me throw out the box it came in as they are enjoying sleeping in it!
So far so good. I would have preferred the pillow to be a little more fuller, which would have given it a tad more height, but overall I have slept well since having the pillow.
Fantastic
I love my new pillow!
Excellent pillow but found it rather on the firm side so ordered a soft to medium pillow to go on top and the combination was perfect, Would recommend both types of pillows.
I tried to do it. I really did. I tried to be happy with lesser products but then, after much searching, I found Scooms. These pillows are beautiful quality (as are the duvets, sheets and pillow cases) which give such a pleasing, lovely hotel feel to the bed. Great value for money.
It's a nice pillow but I was expecting more comfortable. I may have to continue looking. Scooms were excellent with packing of pillow and delivery.
What should you think about when buying a pillow? First pick a pillow designed for your sleeping position. This will dictate the support the pillow provides and help you decide which type of pillow filling will suit you best. Next, consider the breathability, the durability and possible allergy issues. Then check the certifications meet your high standards. Details matter, which is why we take care to get our pillow exactly right and why we believe Hungarian goose down and small feather is the perfect pillow filling.
Ethically sourced Hungarian goose down and small white goose feather filling with a 300 thread count 100% Supersoft sateen cotton casing.
Our cotton casing is crafted with an especially tight weave to make it dust mite and down feather proof. Approved by the experts at Nomite.
Naturally breathable and moisture wicking Hungarian goose down and goose feather provides three to four times more air circulation than synthetic fillings.
Our chamber pillow (think sandwich) has a high percentage goose feather core for firmness and an outer surround of mostly soft and springy goose down that contours gently to your head. Your pillow will plump up perfectly with a morning shake, but make sure any covering isn't tight or unbreathable as this can stop air reaching the filling and prevent it from fluffing up.
A standard size pillow measures 50cm x 75cm (20” x 30”) and a king (super king) size pillow is 50cm x 90cm (20” x 35”). These are the two most common pillow sizes. Choose the pillow size you find most comfortable for you. Two king size pillows will fit perfectly across a super king size bed.
If you choose to use a pillow protector, make sure it is made from a breathable material like cotton and that the protector is not overly tight as this can squash the down and affect the loft of the pillow. Alternatively, change your pillowcase every few days to keep your pillow clean. See our guide on How to care for your Scooms pillows.
Yes, you can wash our goose down and feather pillows in your washing machine if your drum is large enough or at a laundrette. Follow the instructions on the care label. We recommend that you wash your pillow at 40° every 6-12 months or when required to keep your pillow filling fluffy. Make sure you dry your pillow carefully and shake your pillow during the drying process to unclump the wet down. Read our guide - How to clean your pillow.
