An essential addition to your bedding set. A good quality, easily washable protector can save your mattress from any unmentionably nasty stains as well as general wear and tear. Ours is pure cotton so it's naturally breathable and moisture wicking. It comes in a lovely cotton storage bag and is delivered in plastic free, recyclable packaging.

Our 100% cotton mattress protector is deep fit, up to 40cm mattress depth, and comes in five sizes: Single, Double, King, Super king and Emperor. Always choose the same size as your mattress. Pull the elasticated cotton skirt over the sides and corners of your mattress so the protector stays snugly in place. Then place your fitted or flat sheet on top. It can also be used underneath an electric blanket.

We've made our cotton protector slightly oversized to allow for natural washing shrinkage. And like all our products, it's reassuringly Oeko-Tex 100 Standard certified. 

Materials:

  • Fabric: 100% pure cotton.
  • Filling: 100% cotton in 200gsm.
  • Skirt: Fully elasticated 100% cotton skirt.
  • Casing: 100% cotton percale in 200 thread count.
  • Fit: Deep fit up to 40cm mattress depth - Goes on top of your mattress and underneath your bottom sheet.

Care:

  • Made slightly oversized to allow for natural shrinkage when first washed.
  • Machine wash at 30° to 40° before use and then once every 1-4 weeks.
  • Use non-bio (enzyme free) detergent sparingly, as too much detergent may damage the soft cotton filling in your protector.
  • Fabric softener can reduce absorbency so it is best not to use it but if you do, use only a small amount.
  • Wash separately or only with other white cotton bedding. Washing with clothing may cause friction leading to piling. Washing with darker colours may cause your protector to become grey in colour.
  • Line dry or tumble dry at lower heat - use our Wool Tumble Dryer Balls to reduce tumble drying time and add a little extra softness without using chemicals.

Make sure it's really pure cotton. Some brands sell a 'Cotton' mattress protector that isn't only cotton. Check that the filling is really just cotton.
