Merino Lambswool

Soft and smooth, Merino Lambswool creates throws that retain their shape, resist odour and have excellent insulating and wicking properties, keeping you warm when it’s cold and cool when it's warmer.

The Merino Lambswool fibres are extremely fine, ranging from 18 – 24 microns, and flexible with natural elasticity. It does not have the scratchy quality that some wools have, making it very comfortable next to the skin. While lightweight, it provides a great deal of warmth.

Wool is hypoallergenic and naturally fire-retardant.

scooms wool throws are produced in the UK by a family owned business that has been in operation since 1837. They are world leaders in dyeing, spinning, weaving, blending and finishing, creating beautiful products that you can cherish for a lifetime.

Sustainably sourced wool

The wool used in our throws is predominantly from South Africa, delivered directly to the mill in the UK. They are passionate about best farming practices. All their wool is fully traceable. The sheep are all free range, pasture fed and non-mulesed. The farmers adhere to the five animal freedoms and welfare codes.

After shearing, the wool is scoured using eco-friendly detergents and without the use of bleach. Once the raw wool has been inspected and baled, it is delivered straight to the mill where every stage of production from natural wool to finished product is overseen, ensuring the highest standards. The mill operates using efficient energy and water conscious environmental measures.

Wool is entirely renewable and biodegrades within a very short timescale.

Merino Lambs Wool Throw.

We are delighted with the Merino Lambs Wool Throw, the quality and design is excellent. The order arrived within the hour time frame in a stout cardboard box, "No plastic used here". We have ordered goods from Scooms several times and always been very satisfied

Roll up

The wool dryer balls are great. They do make the tumble drying period shorter and the washed items have a lovely feel to them when dried. I’m most really impressed with them and enjoying the results

Genius

Love them. Now use with every tumble dry. Haven’t measured but drying times seem shorter and laundry less creased
