How to use our duvet fasteners
All Scooms duvets come with matching, hand-stitched buttonholes and new improved single piece duvet fasteners so that you can create a warmer duvet by joining together any two Scooms duvets of the same size. The perfect 3-in-1 duvet.
Fasteners for all season duvets
Our All season duvets are made up of two duvets, a lighter tog duvet (4.5 tog or 2.5 tog) and a warmer tog duvet (9 tog or 4.5 tog). The two duvets can be attached to each other with our easy-to-use duvet fasteners, for extra warmth when the nights get chilly.
Our new duvet fasteners come as a single piece that fits through the two duvets matching buttonholes, so there is no risk of your duvets coming apart during the night. Rather than two connecting pieces which may unfortunately separate and cause your duvets to bunch up in the duvet cover while you sleep.
Every all season Scooms duvet comes with a full set of fasteners, plus spares.
To use your fasteners
Lay one duvet on top of the other so that the buttonholes match:
- Slide and push one fastener securely into one duvet buttonhole first.
- Then push the other side of the fastener into the matching buttonhole of the second duvet.
- Don't try to insert the fastener into both duvet buttonholes at the same time.
- Remember to remove the fasteners before you wash your duvet.
The duvet fasteners are not attached to the duvet so you can remove them and use them with any other duvet combination.
Washing your duvet
We recommend removing all your duvet fasteners before washing or laundering your duvet.
Can you put two duvets in one cover?
Yes, you can put any two Scooms duvets of the same size together in one duvet cover. The duvets are fixed together with our fasteners.
Replacement fasteners
