Your pillow will seem full, firm and puffy at first as the down will be at its fluffiest. After a few night’s sleep, it will become softer, contouring to your head and shoulders whilst providing the support your head and neck need for the whole night.
The pillow is very supportive of my neck and head but just a little too firm for me and sadly not as comfortable as I was expecting.
Well made and packaged, delivered as promised next day.
I needed to replace a goose down pillow with no support or life in it at all. Initially, I thought that I had made a big mistake as the Hungarian Goose Down Pillow (soft/medium) seemed so big and full. However, much to my delight, the pillow does its job perfectly. It is supportive but not too firm. It is difficult to describe just how good it is, but it is very good. It simply works and does the job that it is made to do.
I’ve been using the Hungarian Goose Down Pillow for a little while now, and I’m genuinely impressed. The quality is amazing, it feels incredibly soft while still giving the perfect amount of support. It’s made a noticeable difference to my sleep, and I wake up without the usual neck discomfort. You can really tell this is a well-made product, and it feels luxurious without being overly heavy. I also love that it keeps its shape nicely. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it!
Worth every penny!
Best pillow I’ve ever used, can recommend
I have the most easy nights sleep with this pillow although I only sleep on the edge of it. No more waking up to fiddle with rearranging my pillow! Best pillow I have ever had 5 stars
Perfect firmness and feel for me after spending years working with a two pillow variation for years.
Very spongy & springs back into shape. Love it so far - perfect for side sleeper.Good credentials re environment. Haven’t washed but good to know I can.
Excellent pillow, I am happy with it
Lovely pillows, but can’t help feeling the huge box and inner bag they came with was excessive. Perhaps the inner bag and a recycled paper bag?
What should you think about when buying a pillow? First pick a pillow designed for your sleeping position. This will dictate the support the pillow provides and help you decide which type of pillow filling will suit you best. Next, consider the breathability, the durability and possible allergy issues. Then check the certifications meet your high standards. Details matter, which is why we take care to get our pillow exactly right and why we believe Hungarian goose down and small feather is the perfect pillow filling.
Ethically sourced Hungarian goose down and small white goose feather filling with a 300 thread count 100% Supersoft sateen cotton casing.
Our cotton casing is crafted with an especially tight weave to make it dust mite and down feather proof. Approved by the experts at Nomite.
Naturally breathable and moisture wicking Hungarian goose down and goose feather provides three to four times more air circulation than synthetic fillings.
Our chamber pillow (think sandwich) has a high percentage goose feather core for firmness and an outer surround of mostly soft and springy goose down that contours gently to your head. Your pillow will plump up perfectly with a morning shake, but make sure any covering isn't tight or unbreathable as this can stop air reaching the filling and prevent it from fluffing up.
We always recommend choosing the type of pillow that suits your favourite sleeping position. Our Scooms pillows have a chamber construction with a firmer inner core of 15% down + 85% small feather and softer outer chambers of 90% down + 10% small feather. Our medium/firm pillow has approximately a fifth more filling in each of the chambers.
We don't offer a trial period for our Scooms Hungarian goose down pillow due to hygiene reasons but we would be happy for you to try our pillow at home and return it if it doesn't suit you. Please use a pillowcase when testing your pillow and note that we can only accept pillow returns if they are unused, unwashed and in the original packaging.
As the filling is mostly goose down, our pillows can seem fuller and puffier at first use when the down clusters are at maximum loft. If you push your arm on the pillow to remove some of the air, then you can get the feel of how it would be to sleep on.
We always recommend choosing the type of pillow that suits your favourite sleeping position:
If you choose to use a pillow protector, make sure it is made from a breathable material like cotton and that the protector is not overly tight as this can squash the down and affect the loft of the pillow. Alternatively, change your pillowcase every few days to keep your pillow clean. See our guide on How to care for your Scooms pillows.
Follow our care tips to maintain the loft of your goose down and feather pillow and ensure it lasts longer.
Yes, you can wash Scooms goose down and feather pillows in your washing machine if your drum is large enough or at a laundrette. Follow the instructions on the care label. We recommend that you wash your pillow at 40° every 6-12 months or when required to keep your pillow filling fluffy. Make sure you dry your pillow carefully and shake your pillow during the drying process to unclump the wet down. Read our guide - How to clean your pillow.
