Hungarian Goose Down DuvetKing 9 Tog

I did a lot of research before choosing this duvet. My old down duvet is over 30 years old and although I loved it, it has been gradually losing down and not feeling as warm. But what made me finally take the plunge was moving to a house where the main bedroom turned out to be very cold in winter. I start to feel cold at temperatures where others still feel comfortable, so was looking for a 13.5 tog down duvet. I also prefer duvets to feel heavy, as I find it helps me sleep better. Having looked at other down duvets and read lots of reviews and comparison articles, I decided to go for the Scooms 13.5 tog all seasons combo. Although it was well out of my budget, I felt that it if lived up to the reviews, it would be a good investment and probably last me the rest of my life. I also liked the ethos of the company.

I have not been disappointed – this is the most amazing duvet, and it is in a completely different league to my old one. I’m currently using the 9 + 4.5 tog duvets attached together, and even when the room was freezing, the duvet kept me comfortably warm. It is very thick, but soft and fluffy and plumps up well, and it does feel like sleeping under an enveloping cloud, as others have said. The cover looks, and is, very high quality and there is no crackly noise or feeling sharp feathers poking through. One detail I noticed, is that when the two duvets are attached together, the seams are staggered, which helps retain heat even more.

I have been sleeping so much better since I got this duvet, and no longer dread going to bed when the temperature is below freezing. I also like knowing that I can change to one of the lower tog duvets in summer.

I would say again that this duvet does feel heavy, which I love, but this is something to be aware of if you prefer a lighter covering.

My only (very minor) issue with the duvet is, as others have pointed out, that the attachment clips aren’t very strong and can come apart easily and get lost inside the duvet cover. Some work better than others, so after Emily kindly send out a replacement pack of clips, I was able to choose the strongest ones and they are mostly holding together now. I feel a toggle type version of the clip would maybe work better?

Another reviewer stated, “I had no idea how much I needed this duvet”. I’m borrowing the phrase, as it sums up my experience as well!

I am very satisfied with my purchase of the All Season 7 Tog duvet. Initially, I used both duvets together for a couple of days, but I found them too hot and had to separate them. Currently, I am using the 4.5 Tog duvet, which works perfectly for this winter. My house is well insulated, so I believe the combination of the 4.5 Tog and 2.5 Tog is sufficient for me. The only downside is that the duvet is not as fluffy as I expected.

I order the all season Hungarian goose down duvets for the whole family. I must say the feeling from first use has been great. The down is well distributed, and the duvet plumps up nicely in a cloud-like manner for a cozy and luxurious embrace. Very comfortable and warm to sleep in.

My only reservation is about the duvet fasteners (poppers) which are not very stable and come off quite easily during use.

We are using 1x super king, 1x king and 2x single all seasons duvets in the household and everyone is extremely satisfied with with the products.

To me personally, it speaks of the great quality of their products that Scooms has the confidence of offering 60-day return policy. Highly recommended!

I could have not bought one, as I have two regular duvets and blankets, yet it is sooo nice to have one duvet, the Scooms one. I feel worth it, worth living in luxury.

We needed a new King Size duvet, whilst very happy with our M&s Goose Down one, we had use for that one elsewhere. So, after reading lots of reviews I decided to splash out on the Scooms product. Ee spend so much of our lives in bed, we might as well have a fabulous duvet. I told my partner about the 60 day return possibility and when I followed him to bed he said "forget 60 days, İ can tell you after five minutes that we are keeping this duvet!" There's no "rustle" from the cover, it's light and puffy and just....... glorious. I'm recommending it to all of my friends. Ps only used the 9 Tog part so far but I see the poppers to attach the other part are also a very different design.

Worth every penny! Quality is superb!

We purchased our duvet about four months ago, so this review is based on having used the duvet that long.
This is my third down duvet, they last a long time if well looked after and I wouldn’t want to use anything else now.
The Scooms duvet isn’t 100% down so is a little heavier than 100%, but it’s also more sumptuous and plush as a result, and you don’t notice any feathers at all.
The 13.5 tog comes as a two part ’all seasons’ duvet, and this is a first for us as well.
Until a week ago we were only using one part of the duvet, but then the cold weather struck so we clipped it together (such a good and easy system), and snuggled down to the full experience.
I was worried I’d be too hot, but not a bit of it. It is just glorious! I am soo in love with it that I don’t begrudge what seemed a rather expensive price tag at the time. Believe me, it’s really worth it, and you definitely get what you pay for!
I’ve also realised that an added bonus of the ‘all seasons’ system is that I should be able to wash it in my own washing machine come summer!
PS - do also buy the set of 4 tumble drier ‘tennis balls’, they are exactly what you need for drying down pillows and duvets! My old double duvet eased well and is now relegated to the spare room :)
PPS I aired mine for a few days in the spare room (shaking it occasionally), before using it, to allow it to really fluff up.

I had no idea how much I actually needed this duvet. I chose it because I didn’t want a synthetic one and I have mild allergies.
But this has changed my sleeping experience. I sleep warm but not too hot. I snuggle down and feel cosy and relaxed.
