Free next day UK delivery £50+

Hello 5% savings - Give your bedding a complete update with our 5% off bedding bundle. Your bedding bundle will come with a linen bedding set in your choice of colour, Calm grey, Soft pink or classic white.

Each Complete Bedding Bundle comes with:

  • 1 x Hungarian goose down all seasons 13.5 tog duvet (4.5 tog + 9 tog).
  • 2 x Hungarian goose down pillows - standard or king size; soft/medium or medium/firm type.
  • 1 x Linen duvet cover.
  • 1 x Linen deep fitted sheet.
  • 2 x Linen pillowcases - standard or king size; housewife style.

Hungarian goose down duvet & pillows: Handmade in Hungary, our duvet and pillows are plumply filled with the finest, ethically sourced goose down and small feather and covered in oh-so-soft sateen cotton that’s also dust mite-proof. Every duvet and pillow comes with an Original Hungarian Goose Down tag and QR code for guaranteed traceability.

Linen bed linen set: Crafted from the finest French flax, our 100% linen bedding is gently garment washed in small batches to relax the fibres, resulting in linen that feels soft, supple and luxuriously light. Every item in our linen range comes in a matching linen bag.

Our lovely duvet and bed linen comes with a 60 night trial and pillows with our standard 30 nights return policy if unused.

Duvet materials:

  • Filling: 90% Hungarian goose down & 10% selected small white Hungarian goose feather.
  • Fill power: 700 high fill power.
  • Cover: 100% super soft sateen cotton for rustle-free nights.
  • Thread count: 300 thread count with a special tight dust mite proof weave.
  • All season duvets: Includes a pack of cufflink fasteners. (All our duvets come with buttonholes so any different tog duvets can be fixed together.)
  • Feet labels: To let you know which way round your duvet goes. (We recommend turning your duvet around when you wash your duvet cover so that the feet label is at the top.)

Duvet care:

  • Shake your duvet after opening and then daily to keep the goose down fluffy and airy, and insulating at its best.
  • Protect your duvet with a duvet cover, preferably breathable cotton or linen. (An overly tight protector or cover can squash the down and affect the loft.)
  • Pull back your covers every morning to allow your down duvet to breathe and moisture to evaporate.
  • Machine wash at 40° every 6-12 months.
  • Line dry or tumble dry on a low heat setting for around 90 minutes, shake well, then hang to finish drying for 24 hours.
  • Replace your duvet every 5 to 7 years for maximum loft & insulation.
  • Love your Scooms duvet and it will love you.

See our guide to How to clean your duvet.

Pillow materials:

  • Filling: Hungarian goose down & selected small white Hungarian goose feather.
  • Cover: 100% super soft sateen cotton, in 300 thread count with a special tight dust mite proof weave.
  • Chamber construction: Medium firm inner core: 15% down + 85% feather; softer outer chambers: 90% down + 10% feather.
  • Pillow types: Soft/Medium & Medium/Firm with 600-650 CUIN down fill power.

Pillow care:

  • Shake and plump up your pillow daily to keep the goose down airy.
  • Stand your pillow up each morning and open the window to allow air to circulate.
  • Use a pillowcase in a breathable material like 100% cotton or linen and change it once a week or more often. Synthetics aren't breathable.
  • An overly tight pillow protector or pillowcase can squash the down and affect the loft and feel of the pillow.
  • Wash at 40° every 6-12 months using non-bio (enzyme free) detergent - about a third of the usual amount.
  • Tumble dry on low heat. Your pillow will take longer to dry than a clothes load. Shake the pillow several times during drying to prevent clumping.
  • Use our Wool Tumble Dryer Balls to keep the down filling aerated and to reduce drying time.
  • Replace your pillow every 1 to 2 years for peak support.
  • Love your Scooms pillow and it will love you.

See our full guide to How to clean and care for your scooms pillow.

Bed linen materials:

  • Fabric: 100% linen from French flax.
  • Feel: Garment washed to feel super-soft from night one.
  • Duvet cover: Large mother-of-pearl buttons.
  • Pillowcase pair: Housewife style, envelope closure.
  • Fitted sheets: Continuous elastic hem & helpful feet label showing which way round your sheet goes.

Bed linen care:

  • Wash your linen separately without other washing using a good quality mild detergent at 40° or go greener at 30°.
  • Wash whites and colours separately.
  • Don't use bleach or fabric softener.
  • Tumble dry at lower heat and hang your linen out to air dry while it is slightly damp to avoid over-drying and damaging the linen.
  • Use Scooms Wool Tumble Dryer Balls to reduce drying time and creases naturally.
  • No need to iron as linen bedding is meant to be rumpled, but iron damp if desired, being careful not to scorch the linen. Or make your bed immediately with slightly damp bedding to reduce wrinkles without ironing.
  • Store your linen set inside your pillowcase so that it's always easy to find.
  • Love your scooms linen and it will love you.

See our guide to How to wash your linen bedding.

high quality, great service, I feel like they are my friends.

high quality, great service, I feel like they are my friends. I ordered a 9 tog duvet, medium soft pillows 60/70 and large 50/90. I bought French linen, which is extremely soft, noble and firm. The products are more than wonderful, simple in appearance, but full of quality. Now I am also expecting Egyptian cotton. I ordered 4 more pillows 50/70. I will furnish all beds only with these products. The service is impressive, they respond to me personally, with respect and with good feeling. I am very impressed, I would like to know them! I recommend them to everyone who is looking for down and linen and cotton.

The perfect comforter for a hot, humid climate!

We live in a humid climate that rarely has sustained cold temps. Nearly every down comforter we have tried--even those labeled "summer season"--has been too warm. We have finally found a quality down comforter that is just right for our warm climate. It is incredibly soft and light weight yet still enough loft to feel cozy. Thank you, Scooms!

amazing

This duvet is the best ever. Warm and light and of a properly big size (we bought super king). The shipping was incredibly fast and well communicated. Highly recommended.

Frequently asked questions

View all

No! The 100% cotton casing on our duvet has a special tight weave to make it both down and dust mite proof so you would only very rarely find a feather that manages to escape. Each duvet is double stitched so they are robust and durable.

The 10% white feather we use in our duvets is high quality and deliberately small in size so that the quills are soft. Our down and feather filling is also sewn into multiple pockets, trapping the filling in individual pockets to ensure an even spread across the duvet.

All our duvets come with buttonholes so you can fix two together with our pull apart cufflink fasteners. To fix 2 duvets together, lay one on top of the other so that the buttonholes match, then attach each part of the fastener to the outer sides of each buttonhole and push the fasteners together. We recommend attaching one fastener to each duvet corner and then 3 on each side for double, king and super king size duvets. See our Duvet fastener guide for full instructions.

No, Scooms goose down duvets are not noisy and there is no rustle or crinkle when you move around. Our duvets are encased in 100% Supersoft sateen cotton which won't make a noise when you or your other half roll over...

If you choose to use a pillow protector, make sure it is made from a breathable material like cotton and that the protector is not overly tight as this can squash the down and affect the loft of the pillow. Alternatively, change your pillowcase every few days to keep your pillow clean. See our guide on How to care for your scooms pillows.

Yes, you can wash our goose down and feather pillows in your washing machine if your drum is larger enough or at a laundrette. Follow the instructions on the care label. We recommend that you wash your pillow at 40° every 6-12 months or when required to keep your pillow filling fluffy. Make sure you dry your pillow carefully and shake your pillow during the drying process to unclump the wet down. Read our guide - How to clean your pillow.

Duvet covers are always made to fit the same size duvet, so you don’t need to buy a bigger duvet cover size than your duvet. These are the standard UK duvet cover sizes - Single: 140 x 200cm, Double: 200 x 200cm, King: 230 x 220cm, Super King: 260 x 220cm. See our Bedding size guide for sheets and pillowcase sizes.

Oeko-Tex 100 Standard certification - Yes, our duvets, pillows, mattress toppers, mattress protectors, Egyptian cotton bed linen, Linen bedding and Egyptian cotton towels are all Oeko-Tex certified that no harmful chemicals are used in our manufacturing processes.

Yes, our duvet and pillow are suitable for house dust mite allergy sufferers and independently approved by the experts: Certified by Nomite.

Responsible Down Standard - Yes, our duvet, pillow and mattress topper filling adheres to the RDS independent, voluntary global standard ensuring that the down and feathers come from geese that have been treated well; following the chain of custody from farm to product. See our full guide to our Ethically sourced goose down.
